Here is our school/life schedule for this year. I list times where the exact time is crucial, but for the rest of the day we don't watch the clock, we just move from one item to the next.
5:00AM--4 days a week I run on the treadmill, and on the other 3 I still get up at 5 (or 6!) and use the time to "get stuff done".
7:00--wake up children. They read their Bibles, complete morning chores, get dressed.
8:15--read aloud to children, followed by our Bible study.
9:00--school time! The 3 older children begin working independently while I read to Leah and Sam (Sonlight reading). Then I alternate working with Clay and Leah while the girls work alone until lunch.
12:30--lunch, clean kitchen, a little free time
1:30--Sam naps, Leah rests, and the older 3 either finish their schoolwork or have free time
Each afternoon is different because of piano lessons on Mondays and xc practice on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The children run at home on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
The children have free time from the time they finish their school work until it is time to leave for piano or xc practice. On Wednesdays and Fridays, we are cleaning house from 3:30-4:30.
6:00--afternoon chores, followed by supper, kitchen clean up, baths, free time.
9:00--bedtime for Leah and Sam. The older three read in bed for as long as they would like. Many nights it is after 9:00 before I get everyone to bed, but 9:00 is the goal!
Busy, busy!
