Sherman Day 5K

The Spartans!

Saturday most of the Spartans plus many of their parents (including Jimmy and me) ran the 2nd annual Sherman Day 5K. As you can tell by the above photo, the green shirts were numerous at the race! And the parents in their green Spartan shirts are not even in the picture!

Our family after the race....again, Sam did not want his picture made!
Many Spartans won medals and trophies at this race including each person in my family! Even Mama! Jimmy won 1st place 40-44, Me--2nd place 35-39, Olivia--2nd place 10-14, Julie 2nd place overall female, and Clay--3rd place 10-14. Great job family! People frequently ask me about my children and their running abilities, and I just tell them that it is a lot of hard work! They run many, many miles up to 6 days a week, and they have been doing this for 3.5 years! Their success did not come overnight!

Farm Wife and Me! She was 3rd in our age group.
I am so proud of Emily! We missed Lynn at this race....she was on a weekend trip with the husband!

Our family really enjoyed our morning in Sherman! Thanks to Mark and the Tupelo Running Club for putting on a successful race.
