This is just a rough draft!  I am not sure how it will all work out, but I needed to put it on paper to see if homeschooling five children was even possible!  I plan to take notes and watch the clock the first few days of school to see how it actually works.  We don't start piano lessons or xc practice until August 15, so I have a couple of weeks to work the kinks out.

  1. Looks like a great schedule! My schedule is always in my head, but I know my kids (or at least my daughter) would love it if I would write it out and post it.

  2. Thanks for the schedule! I have been getting up early to run a few days a week before the kids are awake. My problem? By mid afternoon, I am exhausted! :) How do you keep going all day with your exercise routine, especially early morning runs? Any tips or advice is appreciated. P.S. I am not running anywhere near the mileage you are doing. Just a 30 minute run.

  3. Michelle,
I AM exhaused by mid afternoon!! But, I usually drink a cup of coffee or have a coke. I know that is not the best thing to do, but.....when Sam was still napping, I would lie down with him and take a 15-20 minute nap. That really helped. Now,on some days when I am reading to the children after lunch, I get soooo sleepy. I will sometimes just close my eyes and take a 15 minute nap. As long as I keep going, I am fine. It's just when I sit down!
I also try to get to bed at a decent time, but it usually is about 11:00 before I go to sleep.
I always tell my husband that I wish I didn't have to sleep! I could get so much more done! :)

  5. I am impressed with how you are so diligent in being productive all day. I waste way too much time.
When I homeschooled my older 5 I did science and history together, I just had different expectations for assignments based on age. I can't imagine trying to do everyone individually, I know that must take lots of time. You are truly an inspiration. I would be napping by 1:00!haha
