Tree

Tree

a poem by Leah (age 6), dictated to Julie

A tree is tall and green.
It makes a fuzzy bean.

The bean is soft and pink,
And it is very pretty, I think.

I blink at the pink thing.
It is gorgeous enough for a king.

The king is mighty and wise.
He has strikingly hazel eyes.

His eyes match his bed of gold,
But his closet is full of mold.

The mold is icky and green.
It is green like a lima bean.

A bean is very tasty,
But not if it's too pasty.

Paste can stick to your head,
Then your head will stick to your bed!

A flower's bed is soft, green grass.
The tree grows in the center of the mass.

A tree is tall and green.
It makes a fuzzy bean.
