I have an 5, 10 and 13 year old that I am trying to school and a 1 and a (just turned) 3 year old that I am trying to keep out of trouble. I have the Maxwell's books, seen schedules and understand the older keeping the younger occupied. There are just some things that can't be scheduled with little ones (diaper changes x 2, snacks, whinny kids, ect..) Would love to hear how you handled this time in your life. I know it is only a small window of time that my life will have littles in it and I want to enjoy them AND feel like I have had a productive homeschool day.Judyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06033056740392220244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7036528759304766052.post-4824092198472198232012-09-25T20:52:07.359-05:002012-09-25T20:52:07.359-05:00That should be, "I write out..."That should be, "I write out..."Diana Dowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06997328870421520257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7036528759304766052.post-3298254236912524252012-09-25T20:49:55.830-05:002012-09-25T20:49:55.830-05:00I have a plan instead of a schedule. I print out a weekly plan to give the kids so they know what it is required each day and can check off what they've done. I do one for myself as well. It makes us accountable without making us crazy. We are fairly relaxed in our homeschooling, but we have certain times of the year where we always seem to get behind. Then we play catch up. Then we feel super stressed to get back on track. It's not fun, lol. I've tried schedules in the past, but if we got off schedule, I was always so discouraged. I will look at our day and see if I can make a guide, rather than a rigid schedule.

I always love hearing how other homeschooling parents plan their days and how it works! :)

Thanks so much for sharing!

Katie
Mom of two boys, trying to tiptoe her way into high school homeschooling.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17720459597404449811noreply@blogger.com
